Muskoxen in Dovrefjell
One of the most spectacular places I’ve been to is Dovrefjell. I went there to get some footage for an upcoming project I’ve been thinking about for a while. I stayed a few nights at the Dovrefjell lodge and hired a guide called Kinge who knows the best places to photograph and film musk oxen. It took us about 1.5 hours to walk up the mountain with snowshoes and a backpack with gear weighing about 20 kg.
I got a lot of footage that I can use and in the autumn it is time to go back to get footage in the spectacular colors of autumn.
In this series of images I used the lenses Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM and Canon RF 200-800mm F6.3-9 IS USM.
All three lenses are absolutely stunning and razor sharp and really lived up to the expectations I had.
Although the 200-800 lens is not an L-lens, it seems to be well weather sealed. It was exposed to heavy wind and snow but managed the task without problems.
